Welcome to The Basque Market!

Established in December 2000, The Basque Market is a cornerstone of the Basque Block in Downtown Boise, Idaho. We’re best known for our Basque catering—especially our giant paellas, sometimes prepared for 800 guests or more! Whether it’s a conference, wedding, anniversary, or private event, our paellas are a showstopper. Rain, snow, or shine, we cook paella from start to finish on our patio every Wednesday and Friday, serving it at noon. Come early to watch the process, sip on a glass of wine or our popular frozen white sangria, and enjoy a few pintxos or tapas while you wait.

About Tony & Tara Eiguren

Tara McElhose-Eiguren and Tony Eiguren have owned The Basque Market in downtown Boise since July 2006. Together, they bring more than 47 years of combined cooking experience, blending Tara’s passion for food with Tony’s deep-rooted Basque heritage.

The Basque Market has become a beloved staple on Boise’s Basque Block, known for its giant paellas cooked weekly out front, an ever-changing selection of pintxos and tapas, catering services, engaging cooking classes, and the largest selection of Basque and Spanish wines in the Northwest.
