Rubentis Ameztoi Txakolina Rose

Varietals: hondarribi zuri and hondarribi beltza
D.O. Getariako Txakolina

Ametzoi Rubentis Txakoli is light pink in color with attractive aromas of rose petal and strawberry. Crisp and surprisingly concentrated, this nicely proportioned effort will provide enjoyment over the next 12-18 months. Ameztoi produces some of the tastiest, most representative and classic txakoli: the delicious, bright, slightly petillant (fizzy), low alcohol wines which are consumed like water in Spanish Euskadi (Basque Country). Vineyards are a stone’s throw from the ocean, full of verdant, green cover throughout the year. This rosé is super limited, with something of a cult following in the Bay Area, New York City and beyond. Get some before it disappears. Yes, it’s every bit as delicious as you have heard. Some white wine grapes (hondarribi zuri) are fermented and then blended in with the red grapes (hondarribi beltza), which explains the precise flavors and beautiful pale pink color.

2014 Llebre
85% Tempranillo, 5% Garnatxa, 5% Samso and 5% Syrah
D.O. Costers Del Segre

Llebre is a red wine from the Costers del Segre region developed by Tomas Cusiné, who decided to start his own project in 2003 in the town of El Vilosell. The winery is located in an old premise, which was formerly the village cooperative.

The climate in this area is continental, averaging annual temperatures of 14-15 ° C. In Winter,  frosts are frequent and in summer, temperatures can reach up to 35 ° C. This wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Carignan and Syrah grapes from 30 hectares of vineyards located at 700 meters above sea level. The vineyards are planted on limestone soils which are poor in organic matter. In terms of the ripening process, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 24-26ºC. Finally, the wine spends four months in French oak barrels.
A wine with excellent value for money among its competitors.
